So far I have found a few recipes for my project and where the foods originated from Mexico and South America. To answer one of my questions from my previous post, for the menu I will be using both I found a recipe for tarta de santiago which is a desert that originated in Galicia. I also found Hallacas venezolanas are Venezuelan tamales. Pick de Gallo is a traditional Mexican salsa with charred tomato and tomatillo prepared in a molcajete. Also to answer some of my questions from my previous post, I will be combining both South American and Mexican foods into one menu by separating them into two parts of the menu. Those are only examples of things I have found from wedsites, and I plan to do plenty more research in the future.
